Punta Gorda Seawall Soil Stabilization & Void Filling

Punta Gorda

The Problem

This waterfront property in Punta Gorda had visible soil loss beneath the concrete near the seawall. As material washed out, an open void developed under the edge of the slab, leaving part of the concrete without proper support. Conditions like this can continue to worsen over time as water movement carries away more soil, increasing the chance of settlement, cracking, or additional movement around the concrete.

The Solution

Environmental Foam Solutions stabilized the affected area by filling the void beneath the concrete and restoring support where soil had been lost. The goal was to strengthen the area beneath and around the slab without removing the existing concrete. By filling the unsupported space and stabilizing the surrounding soil, we helped reduce further movement and gave the concrete a more solid base along the waterfront edge.

Seawall Soil Stabilization in Lutz, FL

Lutz

The Problem

Soil was washing out from behind this Lutz seawall, creating a visible void beneath the concrete along the land side of the wall. As soil migrated out, the concrete was losing the support it depended on underneath. The opening visible in the before photo was only the surface evidence of the problem. Continued erosion can allow voids to extend farther beneath the surrounding area than what can be seen from above, increasing the potential for settlement of the concrete and ground behind the seawall. Adding shell or fill to the visible opening alone would not address hidden voids underneath. The compromised area needed to be stabilized and the underground voids filled before the surface could be restored.

The Solution

We injected high density polyurethane into the compromised soil and voids behind the seawall. The polyurethane expanded below the surface, filling empty spaces and helping stabilize the loose soil where material had washed away. Once the underground voids were filled and the area was stabilized, shell was added to restore the visibly washed-out area along the seawall. The after photo shows the same section once the stabilization was completed and the surface area was restored. The shell finishes the visible area, but the polyurethane stabilization underneath is what addressed the hidden voids and lost support.

Homosassa Seawall Walkway Leveling & Stabilization

Homosassa

The Problem

The concrete walkway along the seawall had settled unevenly, creating raised edges and significant elevation differences between adjoining slabs. Loss of soil and support along the seawall had allowed sections of the concrete walkway to sink and shift, creating uneven walking surfaces and visible separation between slabs.

The Solution

Environmental Foam Solutions injected high-density polyurethane foam beneath the settled concrete walkway along the seawall to fill underlying voids, stabilize the supporting soil and lift the sunken slabs back toward their proper elevation. The repair restored better alignment between the slabs and improved the stability of the walkway while keeping the existing concrete and seawall in place.

Zephyrhills Pool Deck Concrete Leveling

Zephryhills

The Problem

Several sections of this pool deck had settled and become uneven, including the concrete at the pool enclosure entry. Around pools, water movement, drainage, disturbed fill, and repeated saturation can weaken or compress the soil beneath the slabs over time. As that support changes, individual sections of the deck can begin to sink, separate, or create uneven transitions.

The Solution

We used structural polyurethane beneath the affected sections of the pool deck to restore support and carefully lift the settled concrete where needed. By working with the existing slabs, we were able to improve the uneven areas and the transition at the entry without tearing out and replacing the pool deck.

Pool Deck Leveling in Port Charlotte

Port Charlotte

The Problem

The pool deck had settled unevenly, creating a noticeable difference in height between sections of concrete and leaving parts of the deck unsupported underneath. In several areas, the concrete had dropped enough to affect the transition between slabs and make the surface look uneven around the pool. The homeowner was preparing for additional pool deck work, so the settlement needed to be corrected before resurfacing or renovation continued. Simply covering the surface would not have addressed the voids and loss of support beneath the concrete.

The Solution

We used a two-part structural polyurethane foam to fill the voids beneath the settled sections of the pool deck, restore support, and carefully raise the concrete back toward a more even position. The lift was monitored throughout the repair so the movement stayed controlled and the adjoining sections could be brought back into a better transition. Once the deck was stabilized and leveled, the area was ready for the next stage of renovation work without tearing out and replacing large sections of the existing concrete.

Clermont Walkway Concrete Leveling

Clermont

The Problem

Several sections of this concrete walkway had settled unevenly, leaving a raised transition between adjoining slabs. The difference in height created a noticeable trip hazard along a frequently used walking path and made the walkway feel uneven underfoot. The concrete itself was still in good condition, so replacing the walkway would have meant removing usable concrete just to correct the settled areas.

The Solution

EFS used polyurethane concrete lifting to carefully raise the settled sections and improve the transitions between the adjoining slabs. The lift was monitored as the concrete moved so the sections could be brought back into better alignment without tearing out the existing walkway. The finished repair reduced the trip hazard, created a smoother walking surface, and allowed the homeowner to keep the original concrete.

Driveway Leveling & Repair in Inverness, FL

Inverness

The Problem

Before and after photos of a residential driveway leveling project in Inverness, FL. Settled concrete created a significant height difference between driveway slabs along with cracking and an uneven surface. After polyurethane foam injection, the sunken slabs were lifted back toward level while the existing concrete remained in place.

The Solution

Environmental Foam Solutions injected high-density polyurethane foam beneath the settled driveway slabs to fill underlying voids, stabilize the supporting soil and carefully lift the concrete back toward its proper elevation. The slabs were brought back into alignment to reduce the significant height differences and create a smoother, more even driveway surface without removing and replacing the existing concrete

Pool Deck Leveling & Trip Hazard Repair in Spring Hill, FL

Spring Hill

The Problem

This is a common type of pool deck settlement we repair for homeowners in Spring Hill. When one section of concrete loses support underneath while the adjoining slab remains in place, the sinking slab can leave a long raised edge like the one shown here. What may initially look like a small uneven spot can become a significant trip hazard, especially around a pool where people are often walking barefoot.

The Solution

Environmental Foam Solutions uses high-density polyurethane foam injection beneath settled pool deck slabs to fill voids, restore support and carefully raise the concrete. In this repair, the sunken section was brought back into alignment with the adjoining slab, significantly reducing the raised edge and creating a safer transition while keeping the existing concrete in place.

Concrete Walkway Lifting & Leveling in Dade City

Dade City

The Problem

Sections of this concrete walkway in Dade City had settled, creating a noticeable height difference between adjoining slabs. The uneven concrete created a trip hazard and made the walking surface difficult to navigate safely. Settlement like this can occur when the soil beneath the concrete shifts or loses support, allowing individual sections to sink.

The Solution

Environmental Foam Solutions used polyurethane concrete lifting and leveling to restore support beneath the settled walkway and carefully raise the low sections. The repair reduced the trip hazard and improved the transition between slabs while keeping the existing concrete in place. This Dade City concrete walkway repair is a good example of how sunken and uneven concrete can often be lifted rather than removed and replaced.

Concrete Sidewalk Leveling in Groveland, FL

Groveland

The Problem

A section of concrete sidewalk in Groveland had settled approximately 2 inches below the adjoining section, creating a significant trip hazard. The concrete itself was still in usable condition, making lifting and leveling a practical alternative to removing and replacing the sidewalk.

The Solution

We drilled small injection holes through the settled section and injected high-density polyurethane beneath the concrete. As the material expanded, it filled the void underneath and allowed us to carefully raise the sidewalk approximately 2 inches. We monitored the movement during the lift to bring the settled section back into a safer transition with the adjoining concrete, then patched the injection holes when the repair was complete.

Pool Deck Leveling & Repair in Crystal River, FL

Crystal River

The Problem

At this Crystal River property, a section of the concrete pool deck had settled along a crack running close to the pool shell. When the soil beneath a pool deck loses support, the surrounding concrete can settle independently from the pool structure, creating raised edges and uneven walking surfaces. In this case, the movement created a noticeable trip hazard right at the edge of the pool.

The Solution

Environmental Foam Solutions injected high-density polyurethane foam beneath the affected pool deck to fill voids and restore support below the settled concrete. The foam allowed the slab to be carefully lifted back into better alignment, significantly reducing the raised edge and trip hazard near the pool. By supporting and leveling the existing concrete from below, the problem was corrected without tearing out and replacing the affected section of pool deck.

Water Treatment Equipment Slab Leveling in Beverly Hills, FL

Beverly Hills

The Problem

This Beverly Hills homeowner had an issue with the concrete slab supporting the home’s water treatment equipment. The concrete had settled and shifted, leaving the equipment sitting on an uneven surface. Continued movement of the slab could place additional stress on the water treatment system and its connected plumbing.

The Solution

Environmental Foam Solutions used high-density polyurethane foam injection beneath the concrete equipment slab to restore support and carefully lift the settled concrete back toward its proper elevation. Leveling and stabilizing the existing slab provided a more secure base for the water treatment equipment and plumbing without requiring the system to be relocated or the concrete torn out and replaced.

Sidewalk Leveling & Trip Hazard Repair in Brooksville, FL

Brooksville

The Problem

At this Brooksville property, sections of the concrete sidewalk had settled unevenly, leaving raised edges and noticeable height differences between adjoining slabs. The uneven concrete created trip hazards for pedestrians and made the walkway difficult to navigate safely.

The Solution

We injected high-density polyurethane foam injection to lift the settled sidewalk slabs and restore support beneath the concrete. The affected sections were carefully brought back toward the proper elevation, reducing trip hazards and improving the walking surface without tearing out and replacing the existing sidewalk.

Driveway Leveling & Repair in Wesley Chapel, FL

Wesley Chapel

The Problem

Movement beneath the driveway caused sections of concrete to settle out of alignment, leaving noticeable height differences between adjoining slabs. The uneven edges created a trip hazard and rough transitions across the driveway, while visible cracking showed where the concrete had shifted.

The Solution

Shawn used high-density polyurethane foam injection to lift the settled driveway sections and restore support beneath the concrete. The slabs were carefully brought back into better alignment, reducing the trip hazards and uneven transitions while preserving the existing driveway instead of tearing it out and replacing it.

How These Projects Were Done

Every job on this page used the same basic approach: instead of breaking out and replacing settled concrete, we inject structural polyurethane foam beneath the slab. The foam fills the voids left by eroded or compressed soil, then expands to lift the concrete back toward level and restore the support underneath it.

  1. Free on-site inspection. An owner looks at the settlement, checks drainage and soil conditions, and gives you a firm price before any work starts.
  2. Small injection ports. We drill small holes through the slab for the injection ports — no jackhammers and no tearing out concrete.
  3. Controlled foam injection. The foam fills voids and lifts the concrete in small, monitored increments so slabs come up evenly.
  4. Patch and clean up. Ports are patched, joints are addressed where needed, and most projects are finished in a single day.

Because the existing concrete stays in place, foam lifting is typically faster, cleaner, and less expensive than replacement. To see how it compares with older methods, read our poly jacking vs mudjacking guide.
